Art in the Garden

A weekend of art and activities will take place next weekend - on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September - in the Explorers Garden, Pitlochry.

 

Together with a series of two day workshops in Stained Glass and Willow Weaving Dry lead by practising artists from across Scotland, there will be a selling exhibition (10.00am to 5.00pm) throughout the weekend, featuring leading artists such as Trevor Leat, Marian Bruce, Mark Haillay, Cathrine Holtet and Liz Rowley amongst others. Expect sculptures, ceramics, planters, baskets, jewellery, wooden bowls and vessels, plus photography for sale!

 

Entry is free. Explorers is located adjacent to Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

The Plant Hunters were not just botanists, they were adventurers and explorers. They had to be tough to survive the conditions they faced in far-flung corners of the world. They survived shipwrecks, sieges and slavery and battled with pirates, escaped convicts and hostile natives.
