And last but by no means least, there's a three day crime writing course with Caro Ramsay, which starts 31st January, in which she reveals that: "My first book (Absolution) - the first thing I ever wrote - was very raw when it got me signed to Jane Gregory as an agent - it was then edited by three different people including John Le Carre'e editor! - to turn it into the book that was shortlisted for the New Blood Dagger. So it was a huge learning curve for me and I feel a useful learning tool for others. All participants in my crime writing course will receive a free copy of Absolution, so they can familiarise themselves with the finished article before I tell them all the mistakes of form, narrative, plot that were in the original! The novel did sell to Penguin for over 80 000 pounds within hours of it landing on their desk!" Tickets for all events can be purchased by calling Box office on 01796 484626 or buy online now! |

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
