Eve of the 60th Anniversary

eve pearce_web

One of only six actors remaining from Pitlochry Festival Theatre's first season in 1951, Eve Pearce returned yesterday to the Theatre in the Hills on a visit to this year's productions. Eve is pictured with John Durnin, PFT's Chief Executive and Artistic Director, who was delighted to greet her on her return, and current acting company member, David Delve. PFT marks its 60th Anniversary in 2011 and would love to receive suggestions of ways in which the occasion may be celebrated.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
