Join Two Critically Acclaimed Novelists for Lunch!

louisewelsh_newsZoe Strachan's dark, intimate novels capture the changeability and pulse of close relationships, and include the quirky Glasgow launderette-set Spin Cycle and the award-winning, heartfelt tale of bereavement and recovery, Negative Space. Louise Welsh is a celebrated crime writer who didn't set out to become one! Author of the multiple-award winning The Cutting Room, and Tamburlaine Must Die, an imagined account of the final three days in the life of poet-playwright Christopher Marlowe, Louise's most recent novel The Bullet Trick, set in Berlin, London and Glasgow, investigates a 30 year old murder from the perspective of magician and conjuror William Wilson.

Zoe and Louise will be reading from their books, talking about their work, their successes and their future at the Winter Words Festival at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Friday Feb 5th, 1.00pm. Tickets (£15) include a Bistro lunch and refreshments and are available from the theatre's box office: 01796 484626 or click here to buy online.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
