Literary Lunches Selling like Hot Potatoes!
Posted: 24th January

 lit-lunch

The very popular literary lunch (1pm) slot at the Winter Words Festival has claimed it's first two sell outs today as leading Perthshire author Ann Lindsay's Lost Perthshire Lunch on Sat 4th February and Mairi Heddwerwick's Shetland Rambles Literary Lunch on Saturday 28th February are now both packed to the gills!

Pitlochry Festival Theatre's Head of Sales and Marketing Giles Conisbee takes up the story "It's great news although somewhat expected as both authors are very popular and when combined with the offer of specially created 3 course lunches for an-all-in price of £22.50 - our literary lunch slots are proving to be irresistible temptations!"

"If it's a unique lunch experience you're after" he continues "I'd recommend lunch with one of Scotland's most celebrated writers Janice Galloway on Friday 3rd February or lunch with one of the most admired and popular politicians Dennis Canavan on Sunday 29th January - but be quick, there's only a handful of tickets left"

Also proving popular at box office is the much anticipated Literary lunch with local historian and Pitlochry Theatre trustee Colin Liddell, who promises to deliver an enthralling narrative and a myriad of images from theatre archives as he journeys through 60 years of PFT history, accompanied by actor Dougal Lee - expect the unexpected!

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
