Sean Hughes

Fri 22nd April

sean-hughes_frontVeteran comic and star of numerous TV shows including ten years on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Sean Hughes has returned to his first love, stand-up and will be at his absolute best in this rare, much-anticipated appearance at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Friday, 22nd April.

Sean Hughes was the youngest ever winner of the Perrier back in 1990 at the tender age of 24. Since then , he's topped the bill on the comedy circuit, has his own TV show called Sean's Show which was a wildly playful postmodern sitcom on Channel 4, he's also appeared in Coronation Street, teamed up with Peter Davison in The Last Detective and gave his voice over to a toy shark in kids' show Rubbadubbers amongst many other surprising forays and endeavours!

Now he's back, doing stand up. His new show, called Ducks and Other Mistakes I've Made, sees him working up material into a climax that's likely to sting an audience's conscience even as it tickles their funny bones. Unmissable.

Tickets from Pitlochry Theatre's box office: 01796 484626 or buy online or try on the door on the night.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
