| Highland Games - 8th September |
|
Established since 1852, Pitlochry's Highland Games are a highlight of the annual calendar, loved by locals and visitors alike.
Come along on the day and see traditional dancing, heavy events like tossing the caber, tug o' war, cycling, running and piping, as well as a massed Pipe Band Finale.
This year, the games takes place 8th September, from 10.30am to 5pm.
Visit the website for further information: Highland Games - and don't forget to wander over the famous (bouncey!) suspension footbridge (built 1913 to replace a ferry that had run since 12th Century) and visit us - the perfect spot to refresh and relax - in the beautiful hamlet of Port-Na-Craig.
Round of a great day by catching the evening (8pm) performance of Little Shop Of Horrors.
Book your ticket in advance to guarantee a seat to catch this much rated and raved about musical comedy about a man eating plant!!! Call our box office on 01796 484626 to reserve tickets and pre-theatre meal in our restaurant or book online.

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
