summer-season-2010---awayWelcome to the 2010 Summer Season

There's Nothing Quite Like Getting Away. . .
. . . from it all. Leaving behind the routine and the hum-drum is often the key to an experience that will inspire, transform and renew. So what could be better than getting away to the Theatre in the Hills this Summer for a tip-top theatrical treat . . . or two . . . or three!

Our six productions this year (listed here on the right), all set outwith Scotland, offer superb entertainment and an enriching experience, with all the familiar PFT trademarks: fantastic costumes, beautifully realised sets (which attract rounds of applause all by themselves!) and thrilling performances from our talented and versatile acting company.

Pitlochry nestles in the heart of Scotland, amidst spectacular landscapes rich in wildlife. It’s the ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy a well-earned break. And whatever the season - Autumn, Winter, Spring or Summer - there’s always entertainment with style at PFT. And with plenty of accommodation partners to choose from, there has never been a better time to visit.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Theatre in the Hills very soon.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
