Backstage Tours
Take a peek behind the scenes!
To mark 75 years of world-class theatre in the Highland Perthshire, we’re opening our doors and inviting you behind the curtain for an exclusive backstage tour, led by Head of Production, Dan Franklin.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre is one of the few remaining theatres in the UK with all of its producing facilities under one campus. On this special anniversary tour, you’ll explore our Costume Department, Workshop and Prop Stores — home to pieces spanning seven decades of productions — as well as the backstage areas of both our main Auditorium and intimate Studio stage.
A rare and fascinating glimpse into the craft, creativity and history that has kept this theatre at the heart of Scottish culture for 75 years.
Numbers are limited — book early to avoid disappointment.

Part of our 75th Anniversary
This year, we turn 75. From a tent in the hills to one of Scotland’s most celebrated producing theatres, it has been 75 years of extraordinary stories, extraordinary people, and the enduring belief that theatre can change lives.
We’re celebrating all year long — and we’d love you to be part of it!
