David Eustace

in conversation with Stephen Jardine

This event has passed

Join us for a rare opportunity to hear artist David Eustace reflect on a remarkable life and career in conversation with broadcaster Stephen Jardine.

Leaving school at 16, David’s path was anything but typical — serving on a Royal Navy minesweeper at 19, working as a prison officer at Barlinnie by 21, and later returning to education as a mature student before graduating with distinction in Photographic Studies from Edinburgh Napier University.

From there his career unfolded across London and New York, shooting for GQ, Vogue, Tatler and leading international clients, while producing acclaimed personal projects including Character Project, Highland Heart, Dear John and TREE. His work has been exhibited in national museums and major galleries, held in public collections, and featured in campaigns, documentaries and national exhibitions. He has served as Chancellor of Edinburgh Napier University, launched the influential Chancellor Talk Series, and continues to create portfolios, multimedia works and performances shown across the UK and beyond.

In this conversation, one of Scotland’s best-known journalists and broadcasters, Stephen Jardine, will have David share the stories behind his journey. An evening of honesty, reflection and insight from one of Scotland’s most distinctive photographic voices.
