From Heather to Himalayas: Walking in the footsteps of Scotland's plant hunters
Nestled on the edge of Pitlochry beneath the Highland skies, the Explorers Garden is more than just a collection of plants — it is a living storybook. Every path, tree, and blossom tells the tales of Scottish explorers over the past 300 years and celebrates the curiosity that inspired them to see the world not just as it was, but as it could grow.
Caroline Bavey, Garden and Landscapes Manager, shares the garden’s rich history and beauty in her new book, offering readers an intimate journey through one of the UK’s most remarkable green spaces led by Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s Artistic Director, Alan Cumming, with his trademark charisma and insatiable zest for the world of gardening.
