Lulu: in conversation with Alan Cumming

A fundraiser for Pitlochry Festival Theatre

28 Feb 2026

Grammy-nominated singer, pop icon, and acclaimed stage and screen actress Lulu has lived in the spotlight for over sixty years.

Now, at 76, and with the release of her highly anticipated autobiography, If Only You Knew, she shares her full, unfiltered story in conversation with the effervescent Alan Cumming.

With a remarkable cast of characters spanning everyone from The Beatles to David Bowie, If Only You Knew offers a warm, honest and revealing portrait of a teenager propelled into global fame, a young woman navigating a male-dominated music industry, and an established artist continually reinventing her career.

Having risen to stardom at just 15, Lulu truly has done it all. In this brand-new two-hour live show, she speaks openly about her extraordinary life — from working alongside the world’s biggest stars to winning Best Supporting Actress at the 2024 National Film Awards. Along the way, she revisits unforgettable moments including winning the Eurovision Song Contest, recording a James Bond theme, achieving major success in the United States with To Sir, with Love — the best-selling single of 1967 — her close relationship with The Beatles, reaching number one with Take That, collaborating with David Bowie, and writing a worldwide hit for Tina Turner’s autobiographical film.

All proceeds from this event will help raise vital funds to support the Theatre and its 2026 season, as we celebrate our 75th anniversary.
