Acclaimed textile artist, curator, and author Clare Hunter for an inspiring talk about creativity, craft, and storytelling. With over twenty years’ experience as a community textile artist and banner maker, and founder of Glasgow’s award-winning NeedleWorks, Clare has brought the joy of making to thousands.
Her acclaimed books include Threads of Life: The History of the World through the Eye of a Needle, Embroidering her Truth: Mary, Queen of Scots and the Language of Power, and her latest, Making Matters: In Search of Creative Wonders. Clare’s work celebrates the overlooked artistry in crafts worldwide and the power of creativity to connect us all.
