Pitlochry Festival Theatre is delighted to be expanding our work for young people with our brand new PFT Young Techs initiative; starting with an introductory course for young people aged 16-19yrs old, this October.

Running over three days, this practical course will introduce participants to the core disciplines of technical theatre and production across 6 specialism focussed workshops, led by our team of professionals. Through practical learning and industry insight, participants will gain hands-on experience of technical theatre and production while building confidence and developing their understanding of the exciting range of careers available backstage.

There will be a focussed workshop in each of the following areas:
– Lighting
– Sound
– Stage
– Stage Management
– Wardrobe
– Workshop

This course is designed for young people who are curious about backstage careers – you might have taken part in a youth theatre group or school performance before (as a performer or in a different way), or this might be something brand new to you. Having an interest in theatre is helpful – but not essential!
