Pitlochry Sketchers: A Celebration
Pitlochry Festival Theatre are proud to host an exhibition to celebrate the first anniversary of Pitlochry Sketchers.
Pitlochry Sketchers is an informal art group who meet every Thursday morning at the Theatre to sketch, paint, draw and create, using a variety of media. As a group, we welcome everyone from complete beginners to accomplished artists.
Our exhibition will showcase the range of art undertaken by Pitlochry Sketchers, with sketchbooks on display to demonstrate how even the most inexperienced members have progressed over the year. There will also be a collage of ‘A Week in the Life of Pitlochry Sketchers’, showing the huge range of different kinds of art undertaken by the members. And some of our artists will display larger paintings and drawings. The exhibition will be an informal and welcoming space – and art materials will be available for anyone who wants to have a go!
Pitlochry Sketchers encourage each other, teach each other and share ideas and inspiration. Most of the sessions are unstructured, allowing members to create whatever they want, but there are also some optional workshops to enable sketchers to learn or practice particular techniques or try out new media and materials.
New members are always welcome – just come along to one of the Thursday morning sessions and take a seat! There’s no charge, no need to book, and no obligation – just an opportunity to create, chat and make time to exercise your artistic talents!
