International best-selling author and BAFTA nominated BBC TV presenter Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker was born and raised on the beautiful island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Inspired by family recipes, Scottish flavours and the myths & legends of the Hebrides, his four cookbooks have made him Scotland’s best-selling cookbook author.
Named ‘The Stanley Tucci of the Hebrides’, Coinneach appears regularly on ITV’s This Morning and BBC’s Morning Live and has recently been nominated for a BAFTA for his debut BBC series Hebridean Baker: Nordic Islands which sees him travel across Scandinavia learning about the recipes, culture and people of these northern isles.
His distinctive approach has earned him Scotland’s Food & Drink Influencer of the Year title as well as being given the Culture Award alongside Dr Who’s Ncuti Gatwa at the recent Scottish LGBTI+ awards – The Unicorns. Coinneach has also had eleven sell-out North American book tours over the past few years. His social media presence on Instagram @hebrideanbaker with his unique take on foodie travel adventures have been viewed over 31 million times and his podcast This is Scotland sees him sharing the history, culture and stories of his home country.
Peter MacQueen is a crofter, writer and presenter, who brings us a heartwarming account of Scotland’s native dog breeds and tells of their place in our cultural and working landscapes. Also known as The Highland Hutter, Peter’s book and his BBC Alba series Cù Leis Thu (A Puppy for Pàdruig) are a celebration of our four-legged friends and are highlighted with his own dogs Sùla, Peigi and Flòraidh.
