The Living Mountain: Yin and Restorative Yoga Workshop
Join Natalie of Fáilte Yoga for a 90 minute yoga workshop inspired by the Scottish landscape and using the words of Nan Shepherd’s, The Living Mountain.
The workshop will include an opening visualisation on the Scottish landscape, moving into elemental Yin Yoga and closing with Restorative Yoga and an extended meditation. Playing with the elements of earth, water, fire and air, Nan’s words will intertwine with the yoga postures, taking us into a deeply restorative and restful practice. The workshop will take place at the beautiful Pavilion, within the grounds of the Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s Explorers Garden, complementing the production of Nan Shepherd: Naked and Unashamed.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities.
About Fáilte Yoga
Fáilte Yoga was created by Natalie McFadyen in 2022, Natalie is a Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Restorative Yoga teacher based in Scotland.
“I aim to create a welcoming space for everyone in class, and actively encourage students to connect with what feels right for them and always give multiple options, alternatives and encouragement to everyone. I chose the name Fáilte because in Scottish Gaelic, its meaning is welcome. The yoga I teach is rooted in nature and I use the elements of earth, water, air and fire as inspiration for class.”
