Jack Vettriano Can't Paint!
Pitlochry Festival Theatre presents
Jack Vettriano Can’t Paint!
By Eden McIntyre
Loved by the public. Loathed by the critics.
Jack Vettriano became one of Scotland’s most popular artists — and one of its most controversial. His paintings sold in their millions as prints and reproductions; meanwhile, critics and the art establishment repeatedly dismissed his work. In this world premiere, Eden McIntyre explores the extraordinary story behind the paintings and the man who created them.
It’s a story about ambition, class, taste, romance, and identity, and asks one very simple question: who gets to decide what counts as art?
